This position supervises valet personnel to ensure safe, effective, and efficient parking and retrieval of patron vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of valet runners and shuttle drivers to ensure safe and efficient work accomplishment with a focus on positive customer service.
  • Ensures safety of valet staff by ensuring that proper hydration and relief periods are provided, particularly during summer months.
  • Assists valet personnel during busy periods including collecting tickets, pulling keys, keeping traffic moving, giving directions to patrons, and running vehicles as needed.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate completion of accident/incident forms.
  • Provides excellent customer service personally and through subordinate staff by engaging patrons in a welcoming and professional manner.
  • Participates in selection of new employees.
  • Assist patrons with vehicles issues including dead batteries, flat tires, etc.
  • Processes all related paperwork including punch detail reports, schedules, leave requests, and disciplinary action reports.
  • Cashes out runners with their tips, performs office duties, and answers telephones.
  • Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.  

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises multiple valet employees, Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 

Skills/ Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and six to twelve months of supervisory experience
  • Must have a current AZ Drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, be a self-starter, and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and pass a full background check to be certified/licensed prior to employment.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment and agree to maintain a Drug-Free Workplace as a condition of employment.

Important Notes

As a condition of employment, all new hires must pass the following:

Pre-employment Alcohol/Drug Test. This drug test includes the normal seven-panel test, but excludes marijuana for non-safety sensitive positions.

Background check. Applicants who have felonies, warrants, outstanding tickets, shoplifting or theft convictions will be ineligible for employment.
