The HRIS Analyst supports the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, improving system functionality, and delivering workforce analytics and reporting that supports HR operations and business strategy. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset to support both day-to-day system needs and long-term projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
System Maintenance & Support
- Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day system administration, troubleshooting, and user support within the HRIS.
- Maintain data integrity by performing regular audits, validations, and corrections.
- Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, and escalate to vendors or IT as needed.
Configuration & Process Improvement
- Assist in the configuration and testing of system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.
- Evaluate current processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, automation, and user experience.
- Document workflows, standard operating procedures, and user guides to support training and consistency.
Data Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards related to headcount, turnover, compliance, and organizational metrics.
- Support internal audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to translate data requests into actionable insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of data across systems.
- Support HR initiatives such as performance management, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and onboarding with data and systems expertise.
- Participate in HRIS-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
· 2–4 years of experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP)
· Strong understanding of HR processes, workflows, and data structures
· Proficient in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and comfortable working with large data sets
· Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Cognos) a plus
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service approach to internal support
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· HRIP, SHRM-CP, or related systems certification
· Experience with data integration tools and APIs is a plus
