POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Compensation & Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our total rewards programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. You will play a key role in developing and executing comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies that align with our organizational objectives and support our employees' well-being, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
· Develop and implement total rewards strategies and programs that align with the organization's goals and promote employee engagement and retention.
· Lead the design and administration of competitive compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity compensation.
· Manage the annual salary review process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
· Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health and wellness plans, retirement savings plans, and other employee perks.
· Collaborate with HR leadership and finance to ensure the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of compensation and benefits programs.
· Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness of total rewards offerings and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
· Lead the communication and education efforts related to total rewards programs, ensuring employees understand the value of their benefits and compensation.
· Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to ensure accurate and efficient management of compensation and benefits data and systems.
· Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to total rewards, and implement necessary adjustments to programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises multiple team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) preferred.
· 5 years of progressive experience in total rewards management, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.
· Strong understanding of compensation methodologies, including job evaluation, market pricing, and pay structure design.
· Experience in designing and managing employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement plans.
· Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management systems; experience with Workday or similar platforms is a plus.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and benchmarks to make informed decisions.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
